Miele Tri-Flex Vacuum Won’t Start? Battery Wake-Up and Transport Mode Fix

If your Miele Tri-Flex HX1, HX2, or HX3 cordless vacuum won’t start, the battery may have entered energy-saving mode or transport mode. Try the steps below before contacting support.

1. Wake the battery from energy-saving mode

Move the appliance gently back and forth. You can also give the battery a slight shake while it is installed. This can wake the battery so the appliance can start normally.

2. Connect the charging cable briefly

Briefly connect the charging cable to the appliance or battery. Then try starting the appliance again.

3. Check for transport mode

In some cases, the battery can switch to transport mode before you expect it to, especially while an appliance is being transported by car. Appliances with serial numbers up to 182252307 may be affected.

To help prevent this problem, remove the battery from the main unit before transporting the appliance and store it safely during travel.
