Hard Flooring

HEPA level filtration is important when talking allergy vacuums. This means that 99.97% of microns 0.3 in size and larger are filtered out of the air before it is released back into your home.  But just because a vacuum cleaner has a HEPA filter does not mean it is a HEPA vacuum.  A true HEPA vacuum will have quality seals throughout the vacuum to ensure 100% of the air passes through the filter and does not leak out prior to reaching it.  For healthier living conditions everybody, not just people with allergies, should own a vacuum with true sealed HEPA filtration.

Canister vacuums outperform upright style vacuums on hard flooring surfaces.   Canister vacuums come with tools specifically designed to clean hard flooring.  The floor brushes are shallow and flat enabling the tool to hug the ground. Where a spinning brush roll is desired in carpet cleaning, a straight suction floor brush with soft bristles is desired for hard surface cleaning.

The hard flooring tools allow dirt and debris to enter the suction channel through notches cut between the front bristles.  As the floor brush slides across the floor, the bristles actually dust the surface in the same manner you would dust your counter top.  This means the finer particles are removed and your flooring receives a thorough clean.
